Two Plano City Council races will head to a runoff after the May 6 final results were reported.
Incumbent councilman David Downs earned 36 percent of the vote and will face leading vote-getter Rick Smith in the June 10 runoffs for Place 8 on the council. Potential newcomer Anthony Ricciardelli earned a large plurality on Saturday, setting up a Place 2 runoff against second-place candidate Ann Bacchus.
Kayci Prince will join the council after defeating candidate Ed Acklin by a 4.6-point margin.

Denton and Collin counties have released early vote totals for the Plano City Council elections.
