From a graffiti-fusion art installation to a virtual reality arcade, these five businesses will soon open shop in the Plano community.
1. Psychedelic Robot, a pop-up graffiti-fusion art installation that first debuted in Dallas in 2018, is coming to Plano. The company plans to open this May at 6121 W. Park Blvd. in The Shops at Willow Bend mall in the space that was previously occupied by the traveling Friends Experience, according to mall officials. A large painted robot model is on display in the Willow Bend shops. Psychedelic Robot is operated by the Bivins Gallery owners, Karen and Michael Bivins, according to the company website. 2. My Liquor Zones plans to open a retail store in May at 4637 Hedgcoxe Road, Ste. 101, Plano. The store will carry beer, wine and spirits at its location in the Crystal Creek I shopping center. My Liquor Zones will also offer a drive-thru window for customers. 972-292-9605
3. Ctrl V Virtual Reality Arcade received permission April 11 to open its first location in Plano. City Council approved a permit that will allow the company to open a location at 3000 Custer Road, Ste. 250, in the Parkwood Square shopping center. Husband-and-wife owners Beth and Shawn Reynolds said they hope to open the new Plano arcade this summer. The couple explained at the meeting that the location will allow customers to rent out equipment and a space to use the virtual reality gaming technology and have full access to various game types at the business.
