Fast-casual Ikigai Udon restaurant in Plano closes after 3 years in business

Ikigai Udon closed in June after three years of business at 8245 Preston Road, Ste. 100, Plano. The fast-casual restaurant served Udon, a Japanese wheat noodle, with the customers' choice of temporia. Dough masters made the noodles and meal in front of customers as they order. The restaurant closed temporarily in March, but made that closure permanent in June due to "the unusual economic situation," the company said June 18 on its Facebook page. In a message, the company confirmed it is not planning to reopen elsewhere.
