The Dog Park at Bob Woodruff Park opened Dec. 23 at 2300 Shiloh Road, Plano. The fenced-in, 7-acre area features double gates for entry and exit, separate areas for large and small dogs, a shade structure and low-level safety lighting for evening use. The park also has a special event enclosure, picnic tables, benches, water stations for humans and dogs, and waste pickup and disposal stations.

The park is open from sunrise until 10:30 p.m. every day except Tuesday, when it opens at 4 p.m. due to maintenance. The park may be closed due to inclement weather at times; visitors can dial 972-210-2936, option 7 for updated closure information.
