Plano ISD schools will remain open Tuesday as road conditions were better than initially forecasted in some parts of North Texas.
District spokesperson Lesley Range-Stanton on Tuesday said Plano ISD would not be posting a closure notice following the cold front and winter storm that rolled through the Dallas-Fort Worth area the night before.
The cold front brought some precipitation and below-freezing temperatures to Plano, but the roadways escaped some of the heavier icing that came to areas to the south and east, according the National Weather Service.
Still, some roads are expected to be slick as drivers navigate their morning commutes.
As of 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Frisco ISD had not posted a closure notice on its website.
