Prior to opening the daiquiri shop, Chris Edwards and Jorden Beavers worked together serving margaritas at Texas Stadium, Edwards said.
“I always wanted to open my own business,” Edwards said. “We went to different daiquiri shops to get an idea of the lay of the land and started strategizing our own plan.”
Beavers said they looked at other locations for their business, but this one had everything they needed, and there wasn’t anything like it nearby.
The daiquiri menu is divided into three categories: smooth, 50/50 and strong.
“Smooth isn’t too strong and is fruity. Then there’s 50/50, which is slightly fruity and slightly strong. Strong is predominately strong but still has fruity flavor,” Edwards said.
Menu items include Tickle Me Pink, which is a smooth option and is a blend of strawberry and pina colada; and Texas Oil, which is a strong option consisting of Long Island and Island Sunset flavors.
“You can choose from the menu or you can mix your own flavors together,” Edwards said.
The food menu features wings, chicken tenders and more.
A Soul Food Sunday menu will be launched during the grand opening weekend and will include items like smothered chicken and rice, mac and cheese, candied yams, and more.
