Here are five restaurants that recently opened in Plano.

1. Pizza and pasta restaurant Tossed and Sauced opened in December at 1212 14th St., Plano, where it shares space with fellow Local Favorite Restaurants concept Twisted Root Burger Co. The restaurants are located in the former location of Hub Streat. Tossed and Sauced's menu includes wood-fired pizzas such as jalapeno chicken Alfredo as well as candied bacon, sausage and egg. 2. Charleys Philly Steaks opened Nov. 26 at 2300 14th St., Ste. 130, Plano. The restaurant specializes in made-fresh Philly cheesesteaks, loaded gourmet fries and all-natural lemonades. The company has more than 600 locations in the U.S. This is the chain’s first Plano restaurant, though it also has locations in Frisco, Garland and Grapevine. 972-905-5423. www.charleys.com

3. Beerhead Bar & Eatery officially opened to customers Nov. 10 in Plano. The business, located at 5805 Preston Road, Ste. G594, features a craft beer selection that includes 50 unique options on tap and around 350 bottled selections as well as a food menu that has been specially curated to pair with the bar’s beer and cocktails. The menu features upscale bar food, such as specialty pizzas, sandwiches, desserts and the eatery’s signature Barbarian Pretzel. 4. Dave's Hot Chicken held a grand opening Oct. 29 for its new Plano location at 8315 Preston Road, Ste. 400. The restaurant serves chicken tenders of varying degrees of spiciness, fried chicken sliders, crinkle-cut fries and more. According to its website, the company began as a food cart in East Hollywood. 5. The Bells Sweet Factory held a grand opening for its first brick-and-mortar location Oct. 23 in Plano at 2109 W. Parker Road, Ste. 210. The New Orleans-style eatery has operated out of a food truck in various locations across Plano and other nearby cities for the last few years. Popular menu items include lamb chops, fried seafood, fried chicken and pasta.
