Planet Fitness is set to open a new location in west Plano, a company representative confirmed.

The representative said construction is scheduled to begin in August, with the gym expected to open its doors in December.

The new fitness center will move into vacant retail space formerly occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond, near the intersection of Plano Parkway and Park Boulevard.
