The Dallas Cowboys officially unveiled their Ring of Honor Walk at The Star in Frisco on Monday. The Ring of Honor Walk is dedicated to former players and coaches who have made outstanding contributions throughout the team’s history. There are 21 members. Sixteen of the 17 living members were in attendance with their families. Larry Allen was the only member not in attendance. The late Bob Hayes, Don Meredith, Tex Schramm and Tom Landry were represented by their children. The Ring of Honor Walk, presented by Dr Pepper, features portraits of the members along the atrium of The Star. Individual monuments dedicated to each of the members are along the walkway at The Star. “This is the day we have been waiting for, the true unveiling of the vision of The Star, which is time and brand of the city of Frisco with the great worldwide brand of the Dallas Cowboys,” Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney said during the ceremony. “We talk about brand all the time and that was one of the big pieces of why we did this deal and why the school district participated in this deal because we wanted to attach ourselves to the best and, of course, there’s no better brand in the world than the Dallas Cowboys.” The 21 members of the Ring of Honor are: Bob Lilly, Don Meredith, Don Perkins, Chuck Howley, Mel Renfro, Roger Staubach, Lee Roy Jordan, Tom Landry, Tony Dorsett, Randy White, Bob Hayes, Tex Schramm, Cliff Harris, Rayfield Wright, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, Drew Pearson, Charles Haley, Larry Allen and Darren Woodson. https://communityimpact.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/IMG_3249.jpg
