With the free shuttle, the city hopes to alleviate downtown parking congestion, according to a news release from the city of McKinney.
The electric car comes at a minimal cost to the city and is sponsored by the McKinney Convention and Visitors Bureau, the McKinney Community Development Corp. and local businesses.
DASH will operate Monday-Wednesday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Thursday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 6-10 p.m.
Those wishing to take a ride with DASH should wave down the driver or call 469-733-3274. More information about the service can be found on the city's website.
