The main building of Watermere McKinney welcomed its first residents earlier this summer.

Construction on remaining portions of the development is expected to conclude later this year. The building will continue to be opened in phases with the final certificate of occupancy expected towards the end of the year, said Andrew Chapin, vice president of development for Integrated Real Estate Group. When completed, the independent senior living community will include 221 apartment units in a variety of one- and two-bedroom floor plan options.
