Construction is expected to begin in the next few weeks on a new single-family residential project in McKinney called Meridian at Southgate. The upcoming community will include access to trails and parks, a dog park, a pool complex, an outdoor kitchen, lounge areas, a playground and community events as well as optional front yard maintenance, which is included in monthly homeowners association fees, officials said.

The community is located on about 47 acres at 3100 Taunton Way, McKinney.

Lots will range from 40 feet wide to 50 feet wide, and homes will start in the mid-$300,000, according to the website. Homes will range from 1,836-3,075 square feet with three to four bedrooms and two to three bathrooms, according to the website.
