La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe is set to open July 8 in McKinney, marking a return for the restaurant to the McKinney area. It will be operated by Tanzeem Rizvi.

La Madeleine was originally set to open in May, but this was pushed back to provide new service options and provide health and safety policies during the pandemic, according to a news release.

“Like most Texans, our family has a passion for La Madeleine, and we invite the McKinney community to indulge, once again, in this Dallas-founded brand," Rizvi said in the release. "We aim to be a home away from home and favorite local destination. This beautiful space will welcome guests in a few short weeks, and our team will deliver an outstanding experience that is safe, comfortable and convenient."

The restaurant will offer dine-in, takeout, grab-and-go, delivery and catering services and also provides patio seating. The restaurant will offer French cuisine, including soups, salads, sandwiches, breakfast and coffees, pastries and breads. La Madeleine is located at 3625 W. University Drive, McKinney. 469-581-1300. www.lamadeleine.com
