Hope Clinic of McKinney has changed its name to CommonGood Medical, according to a March 26 news release from the medical center.

The faith-based, nonprofit clinic offers free primary care services for low-income and uninsured residents of Collin County. The clinic, which opened in 2017, offers a range of services including:
  • Medical care
  • Vision care
  • Counseling services
  • Prescription assistance
  • Specialist referrals
The name change was spurred by several factors, including the business’s evolving service offerings; to better differentiate the business from other nonprofit organizations; and potential future expansions into new locations, according to the release. The clinic’s services, operations and location remain the same.

"While we have a new name, our mission and ethos have not changed,” Founder and CEO Dr. Stephen Twyman said in the release. "We still believe that all people deserve to be treated with love, dignity, and respect and that doing so benefits the common good of our community."
