Consideration by council follows a March 11 meeting when the project was presented to the McKinney Planning and Zoning Commission. Commission members voted unanimously to recommend approval of a zoning request for the project.
The project, proposed by Dallas-based real estate firm Creation Equity, would also feature a hotel, six-story office buildings and outdoor amenities. The project site is located on 146 acres at the northwest corner of US 75 and the planned US 380 bypass.
Also on the agenda
Council members will also consider a request to rezone 0.7 acres of land at 500 W. University Drive for a proposed Murphy USA gas station. The site currently features an existing office building.
The applicant is proposing a 2,824-square-foot building with a canopy and 12 fuel dispensers, according to the agenda. McKinney Planning and Zoning Commission members voted 4-3 to recommend approval of the zoning during a Feb. 25 meeting.
Commission members Russell Buettner, Gina Hammack and Steve Lebo voted to oppose.
