McKinney ISD’s class of 2025 is less than a week away from walking the stage at graduation ceremonies.

What you need to know

Graduation ceremonies for MISD’s three high schools will be held May 23 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center located at 200 E. Stacy Road, Ste. 1350, Allen. The ceremony times are as follows:
  • McKinney North High School at 9 a.m.
  • McKinney Boyd High School at 1 p.m.
  • McKinney High School at 5:30 p.m.
Graduates in good standing will be given a limited number of tickets for attendees. Doors will open an hour before each graduation ceremony, and attendees are advised to plan accordingly to allow time for security checks at the event center.

A bag policy will be in effect for the events, limiting the size and type of bags allowed into the event, along with select other prohibited items such as noisemakers and balloons. A live stream link for each high school will be posted online the morning of the ceremonies, the district's website states. For more information, visit www.mckinneyisd.net/page/graduation-2025.

Also of note

McKinney’s Project Graduation, a nonprofit organization, will host a free, all-night event for MISD class of 2025 graduates following the graduation ceremony.

The event, which will begin at 10 p.m. May 23 and continue until 5 a.m. May 24, will be hosted at the McKinney ISD Stadium and will feature games, prizes, music, food and more in an “alcohol and drug-free environment,” the organization’s website states.

“For some graduates, this is the only celebration they might have access to on their big night,” the organization’s website states. “For others, this event will provide a safe alternative to other parties they might otherwise attend.”

Community members interested in supporting the event can contribute through donations or as a volunteer at the event. For more information, visit www.mckinneys-project-graduation.com.
