The eatery, located in McKinney’s West Grove development, will serve a variety of burger choices including the Cadillac Wagyu, Tikka Masala and the Magic Shroom. Non-beef burgers such as Ahi Tuna and El Bandito, which features a patty made with black beans and corn, will be available. Milkshake options include Midnight Mocha, Nutella Chocolate Pretzel and more.

At 11 a.m., Nov. 11 , the first 100 guests in line will receive a scratch-off ticket for the chance to win free cheeseburgers for a year. Every ticket is a winner, and other prizes include fun items like Hopdoddy swag, gift cards, free shakes and more, a company news release states.
Hopdoddy will host a grand opening party from 3-5 p.m., Nov. 15, featuring a variety of activities, including:
- A free first drink of any kind for adults and children
- Live music by Big City Outlaws
- Lawn games
- Free tastings from local brewery Union Bear Brewing Company
- Face painters
- Spinning prize wheel
What’s in a name?
“Hops are a flower used to make beer tasty and Doddy is a nickname for Black Angus cattle,” the company’s website states. “Put them together and you have Hopdoddy.”
