Andalous Mediterranean Mezza is slated to open in December in McKinney, said Wassim Merched, founder of Andalous Mediterranean Concepts.

The details

The eatery's menu will feature plated dishes including beef tenderloin skewers, lamb chops and kababs. Hummus and salads will also be served. The 6,500-square-foot restaurant will also feature two tree-shaded patios and a small gated play area for children.

“Andalous Mediterranean Mezza is designed to make guests feel as if they’ve stepped into the Mediterranean,” Merched said in an email.

The restaurant will fill a space previously occupied by Two Senoritas Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, which closed in 2024, according to a company social media post.

The background

Andalous Mediterranean Grill opened in Las Colinas in 2012. Twin brothers—and chefs—Sam and Wassim Merched operate Andalous Mediterranean Grill.

“After years of training and cooking from their mother's secret recipes, the brothers have learned the traditions of countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea,” the company's website states.

The context

Andalous Mediterranean Mezza is one of three new concepts the company plans to launch.

Andalousia Hookah Café, which is slated to open in September, will be located in Richardson. The upscale cafe will offer over 30 flavors of premium hookah and Mediterranean-inspired drinks, Merched said.

Andalous Fresh Mediterranean is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2026 in Frisco.

“A modern, fast-casual Mediterranean concept inspired by our original buffet-style restaurant but streamlined for speed and efficiency,” Merched said. “Guests will enjoy a vibrant cold line of fresh dips, salads and toppings, with all proteins plated fresh from the kitchen.”

Merched added that this location will serve as a prototype model for future growth opportunities. Andalous Mediterranean Concepts also operates Andalous Mediterranean Grill locations in Los Colinas and Arlington as well as Andalous Mediterranean Buffet in Richardson, the company's website states.
