Just over a year after opening its doors, Jason’s Deli in north McKinney is set to close July 31, according to signage at the location. The closure is a result of property acquisitions to allow for roadway expansion as part of the US 380 bypass project, said Kim Collura, vice president of marketing for Jason’s Deli.

The restaurant is one of several businesses in the area identified as expected displacements due to the selected alignment for the US 380 bypass project, according to the Texas Department of Transportation’s website.

“We know that we have a need in this community so we will continue to look for opportunities to serve the area,” Collura said.

The eatery is known for its selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, baked potatoes and baked treats. Its menu also includes vegetarian and gluten-sensitive options as well as children's meals, according to its website.

The restaurant has a number of nearby locations that will continue to offer dine-in, pick-up and catering services, including one in McKinney on US 75 and three in Frisco.
