A Burger King location on West University Drive in McKinney is holding a grand re-opening ceremony in July after undergoing renovations.

Burger King was closed for six weeks while renovations added digital kiosks and improved the drive-thru, a media representative said in an email. The restaurant features Burger King’s new “Sizzle” concept as part of the chain’s $400 million investment in upgrading restaurants across the country, according to a news release.

Construction management firm Archmill House oversaw the renovation project as part of its remodel program. The restaurant is owned by Dossani Paradise Management. The ribbon cutting is scheduled at 11 a.m. July 31.
