Summer Moon Coffee will open its first McKinney location Sept. 30, according to a news release.

Summer Moon Coffee offers iced and hot coffee drinks made with wood-fired coffee beans as well as its signature Moon Milk sweet cream. The coffee shop will also offer cold brew and blended coffee drinks as well as breakfast and lunch food options, according to its website.

The McKinney location will feature a drive-thru, outdoor seating, free Wi-Fi and online order-ahead service, according to the release.

“Our mission is to bless every person who enters our doors (and drive-thru window) with warm Texas-sized hospitality that leaves a lasting impression,” owner Greg Richardson said in the release. “We love our community and can’t wait to give amazing experiences that bring lots of smiles to our guest’s faces!”

The coffee shop, located in north McKinney at the intersection of US 380 and Ridge Road, is the sixth Dallas-Fort Worth-area location for the company. There are over 40 Summer Moon Coffee locations in 13 states, according to the business’s website. Richardson also opened Summer Moon Coffee location in Frisco in 2017.


A grand opening event for the McKinney location is planned for 7 a.m.-noon Sept. 30. The event will feature gift bags for the first 50 guests, along with samples of coffee and other giveaways, according to the release.
