Construction has begun on the second phase of Aero Country East, a gated, private airport community in McKinney.

Infrastructure construction associated with the project is expected to be completed in January, according to Jeanie Cline, a representative of AIRSPACE Airport Real Estate and exclusive broker for Aero Country East’s new development.

The details

Aero Country East is a privately owned, public use airport located within the city of McKinney as well as the Prosper ISD boundaries. All lots, hangars, taxiways, runways and roads are privately owned.

Aero Country East offers aviators an amenity-rich airpark, including:
  • A 3,000-foot paved and lighted runway
  • A 1,500-foot grass airstrip
  • AvGas, an aircraft fuel
  • Two gated entrances
  • A community pool and amenity center
  • City water and sewer, fiber optic and natural gas connections
What’s next?


Hangars being constructed in the development's second phase will be completed in spring, while homes being constructed are set to be completed in the fall.

Construction on additional phases has commenced, and is on-going. Completion of the final phase is expected by summer of 2027.
