A $25 million mixed-use development is coming to west McKinney,

The Eldorado Neighborhood Shops project, an initiative by commercial real estate development firm SLX Capital, will feature a gym, a specialty grocer and a mix of other uses, Ahsan Daredia said, a partner at SLX Capital. A groundbreaking was held for the project on Dec. 2.

The gist

The roughly 14.5-acre project is located at the southwest corner of Eldorado Parkway and Stonebridge Drive.

The project will feature businesses including:
  • Chipotle Mexican Grill: A fast-casual dining chain offering made-to-order bowls, burritos, tacos and quesadillas.
  • Crunch Fitness: A New York-based fitness chain with more than 400 locations.
  • Mountain Mike’s Pizza: A chain restaurant offering pizza, chicken wings, sandwiches and more.
  • Willowbrae Academy: A child care and early child care education center offering programs for infants, toddlers, preschool and school-aged children.
The development will be anchored by a specialty grocer that has not yet been announced, Daredia said. An additional pad site in the project will also be developed for possible medical or office uses.

The impact

When the project is completed, the development is projected to be valued at $25 million, Daredia said.

“We’re excited to bring more retail for consumers, job growth for residents, and taxable revenue for the city of McKinney,” Daredia said in an email.
