The Kid Connection and The Kid Connection University are set to relocate within McKinney in August, Founder and Head of School Courtney Currie said.

The Kid Connection first opened in the McKinney Flour Mill in 2020. Due to growth, the company, which offers tutoring and social emotional support through faith-based play therapy, relocated to its current location at 1600 Redbud Blvd. two years ago.

“In early 2021, we began [The Kid Connection University], our faith based university model program for children K-12,” Currie said in an email.

The Kid Connection and The Kid Connection University offer:
  • Academic tutoring
  • Faith-based university for children K-12
  • Dyslexia therapy
  • Individualized counseling and play therapy
  • Social skills classes
  • Summer camps
  • Special needs advocacy
“As The Kid Connection and The Kid Connection University continue to grow, we need more space,” Currie said in an email. “We are excited to expand our space and to a new area of McKinney.”
