A new exhibit is now on display at the Collin County History Museum in McKinney.

The “Created in Collin” exhibit features the people, products and ideas that began in Collin County, Executive Director Kristin Spalding said. The exhibit's content includes information about locally created products and food as well as impactful people from Collin County, such as entertainers, athletes, educators and more.

A grand opening for the exhibit was held in December. An additional exhibit area highlighting the contributions to Collin County by automotive designer and entrepreneur Carroll Shelby is expected to open in February, per staff at the museum.

The Collin County History Museum is a free museum that is open to the public on Thursday, Friday and Saturday weekly.
