A renovated and expanded gallery and storefront will debut when LX Artworks reopens later this month.

The business is an art gallery and studio featuring work by McKinney-based artist Lindsay Ekstrom in a variety of mediums. LX Artworks has been located inside the McKinney Cotton Mill for two years, according to a news release.

The expanded 4,500-square-foot, first-floor space will include an artist’s studio, offices and warehouse space. It will also include a gallery and storefront space that features Ekstrom’s artwork and sells LX Artworks products. The gallery and storefront will be open to the public on select days of the week and will be used for events, according to the release.

“I have absolutely loved designing the new space with only my brand and art in mind,” Ekstrom said of the new space in the release. “I have been able to choose every finish and color selfishly and in the way I want,”

The business previously only included a private studio and office space on the second floor of the building.

A public opening event for the expanded space will be held during the McKinney Art Studio Tour event Nov. 10-12, a representative of the business said.
