The preschool will be located on about 1.5 acres at the southwest corner of Somerville Drive and Trinity Falls Parkway, according to city documents. The facility will span over 10,000 square feet, including 11 classrooms. The facility will also feature a nearly 6,500-square-foot outdoor play area, according to city documents.
Kiddie Academy is an educational child care center that offers programs for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old, according to its website. The business opened its first location in Maryland in 1981 and now has over 300 locations across the country, according to its website. An existing Kiddie Academy is located in west McKinney on Virginia Parkway near Stonebridge Drive.
"Kiddie Academy is excited about its continued expansion into the [Dallas-Fort Worth] market,” said Jeff Brazier, Kiddie Academy chief development officer, in a statement. “The master-planned community of Trinity Falls is a growing area for families that will need the high-quality educational child care that our franchisees will bring."
