CVS Pharmacy is permanently closing its location in east McKinney, according to CVS Pharmacy representative Matt Blanchette.
The pharmacy, located at 159 S. Central Expressway, McKinney, will cease operations July 10. The location’s closure was decided based on factors such as community pharmacy population shifts, the area’s store density, local market dynamics and more, Blanchette said.
“Maintaining access to pharmacy services in the communities we serve is an important factor we consider when making store closure decisions,“ Blanchette said in an email.
The location is the second CVS store to close in McKinney in 2023. Another CVS location at 6161 W. University Drive in north McKinney ceased operations April 4.
