Redline Athletics is expected to open its first McKinney location in the Urban Garages development in the northern portion of the city.

The business offers “comprehensive athletic development,” including speed and agility training, as well as strength and power training, according to its website. The athletic facility, located at the northwest corner of US 380 and Stonebridge Drive, will offer age-appropriate performance training targeted at athletes ages 8-18 as well as adult training opportunities, franchise owner Jesen Merle said.

“We’re going to be able to check the box for every family,” Merle said.

The north McKinney facility will be 11,500 square feet and will be a “one-stop shop for young athletes,” Merle said. The facility will include weight equipment, a half basketball court, batting cages, turf floors and a mezzanine level overlooking the main floor. The facility will offer group and individual training as well as flexible membership options, according to its website. Merle said he chose the north McKinney location due to its proximity to neighboring cities.

“The location is amazing. We’re going to be right there off of [US] 380, a busy highway right on the corner of McKinney, Frisco and Prosper,” Merle said. “We’re going to be able to serve a highly populated area of Collin County that’s still growing.”

Redline Athletics anticipates opening in McKinney in late spring or early summer, Merle said. Beginning in March, athletes can take advantage of an exclusive preopening discount when signing up for a membership, Merle said. The company has over 50 locations in 21 states, including nine in Texas, according to its website.
