San Antonio-based Frost Bank plans to add a south McKinney location in 2023, according to Bill Day, senior vice president of Corporate Communication for Frost Bank.

The financial center will be located at the southeast corner of Eldorado Parkway and Custer Road, according to city permit documents. The location is part of the company’s expansion project that will add 28 locations in the Dallas area, Day said. The expansion began in late 2021 and has already seen the opening of seven new locations, including one in Plano. Another location in Frisco is expected to open in December.

“At a time when a lot of banks are reducing the number of physical branches they operate, Frost is expanding,“ Day said in an email.

The McKinney financial center will employ 10-12 bankers and will offer a range of financial services for both consumer and business customers, including banking, insurance and investment services, Day said. The construction of the location is estimated to cost $7 million, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The financial institution currently has over 160 locations in Texas and 22 in the Dallas area, Day said. 800-513-7678 (customer service). www.frostbank.com
