The outdoor water park will open May 28, and hours for the park will be changed until further notice, according to a Flower Mound news release.
The water park will be open Monday and Wednesday 3-8 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday noon-5 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-6:45 p.m.; and Sunday 1-5:45 p.m.
The lifeguard shortage is not unique to Flower Mound but can also be seen throughout the metroplex including in Richardson and Plano.
Water park and indoor pool hours will be expanded once there are an appropriate number of certified lifeguards to staff both, according to the release. Hours will be updated online at www.flower-mound.com/468/hours.
