Talk Like a Pirate Parrrty


On International Talk Like a Pirate Day, the Lewisville Public Library invites buccaneers to a swashbucklin' good time, including a treasure hunt and making pirate crafts. For children ages 6-8. Registration is required; space is limited.

Fall leaf embroidery hoop art


Participants will create fall decor by sewing colorful felt leaves onto an embroidery hoop. This hands-on program is for crafters of all skill levels and a wonderful way to celebrate the autumn season. Supplies will be provided. Adults only, registration required.

Lewisville Western Days Festival

This event features live music on five stages, the Padrino Foods World Tamale Eating Championship, food trucks and Western-themed activities.

Lewisville High School Homecoming Parade


The annual LHS Homecoming Parade will be held on Main and Church streets in Old Town Lewisville. A community pep rally at City Hall will immediately follow.

Dog Days: Fashion Show and Adoption Event

Dog owners can register their dog for free in a fashion show. Awards will be given for best matching costume (owner/dog), superhero theme and most glamorous. Dog adoptions and pet-related vendors will be on-site.Senior Adult Spelling Bee


Spellers must be 54 years or older and a child partner (ages 6–16) may assist. This is a community-wide event.

This fundraiser event is hosted by Discovery Village - Castle Hills benefitting Book Drive for Kids, a local nonprofit that provides books for disadvantaged children. Entrance fee is a new children’s book.

The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show

Attendees can watch dogs doing big air stunts, frisbee freestyle routines, high jumping, agility, and other extreme dog sports. The Canine Stars have been featured on ”America’s Got Talent,” and Nickelodeon’s “Unleashed,” Animal Planet, ESPN, and The Travel Channel. Almost all the dogs are adopted from shelters, rescue groups or found as strays.


21st Annual Battle of the Badges Charity Softball Tournament

This is a double elimination softball tournament between police and fire departments from North Texas. There will be vendors, costumed characters, bounce houses, face painting, games, DJ and tons of softball. Since 2004, the Lewisville Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association has supported the Lewisville Police and Fire Departments by hosting the annual tournament. This event benefits LCPAAA and local charities.
