The Russian School of Mathematics opened in August in Coppell and will hold a grand opening Oct. 6.

The business offers various levels of extracurricular math programs for K-12 students.

“Three levels for every grade allow us to meet children where they are and place them in an environment suited to them,” the company website states. “This ensures that students can begin our program at any time and be challenged appropriately in an environment of peers.”

Its educational approach is based on elite math schools in the former Soviet Union, per its website.

“We teach math in a way that not only builds mathematical excellence, but also develops intellect and character,” the website states.

Founded in 1997, the Massachusetts-based company has 78 locations in the U.S., Canada and Israel.

Grand opening activities will include math games and activities for the whole family. Free math evaluations will be available.
