The Coppell Chamber of Commerce honored local businesses and community members during its annual awards and community gala Feb. 3. The event’s theme was “A Night in Paris” and featured eight award categories.

Guests could also participate in the silent auction, which included items such as travel packages, sports memorabilia and local art. Funds generated from the auction will serve to assist the chamber in continuing its advocacy, education and support of Coppell's business community, according to the chamber.

The awards were nominated, voted on and presented by members to other members. Coppell ISD Superintendent Brad Hunt was presented with this year’s Cliff Long Leadership Award.

“I would never in a million years think I would be in a position to receive an award like this,” Hunt said. “I’m so very proud to be receiving this special honor.”
