Parlor’s Handcrafted Ice Creams celebrated its first anniversary of business in Lakewood in late April.

The shop, located at 6465 E. Mockingbird Lane, Ste. 465, sells ice cream made from scratch in-house. The business sources grass-fed milk and pasture-raised eggs from local farms, and “almost all” other ingredients come from local small businesses that use sustainable and organic practices, according to its website.

On Facebook, the company’s owners called their anniversary an “exciting accomplishment” while noting that many small businesses don’t last a full year.

“We have had some of the most trying, fulfilling, exhausting, enlightening, sad, exhilarating, and unbelievable (in all the senses) days of our lives,” they wrote. “What a joy it has been to serve our community with a modern take on a traditional ice cream experience.”
