St. Patrick Catholic Church of Dallas celebrated 60 years of ministry in Lake Highlands on April 29.

The church, located at 9643 Ferndale Road, aims to be a “welcoming Catholic community with the Holy Eucharist at its center,” according to its website. It was founded in 1963 and originally operated out of an all-purpose building with classrooms and an auditorium before moving its religious services to a permanent church building in 1981. Now, the church serves 3,000 families in Richardson and Dallas, and its parochial school has over 400 students enrolled.
