The change order amends a contract with Decatur-based Tejas Cutters LLC by adding $136,075.85, according to city documents.

The end of Mt. Gilead’s trail will connect to Overton Ridge Park with a 750-foot-long, 6-foot-wide sidewalk, according to city documents. The addition will be funded through the Parks Capital Improvement Project fund with funding provided by the Keller Development Corporation fund.
Rachel Reynolds, Keller’s communication and public engagement manager, said the total cost of the project is now $703,045.07. She said it’s estimated for completion in June 2026.
The background
The city broke ground for the 0.35 mile expansion in August and its original bid for construction was approved in June. A contract to design the trail was first approved in October 2024.
The trail will connect Woodborough Lane to Roanoke Road, according to city documents.
