The summer schedule will be in effect through the end of August, according to the city’s website.

A closer look

Garbage collection occurs twice weekly for Keller residents, either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, depending on home address. The service map can be viewed here.

According to the city’s website, garbage and recycling put out curbside for collection must adhere to certain rules, including:
  • All garbage must be placed in containers, including trash bags, that are large enough to hold all materials.
  • To avoid scattering and to keep away insects, rodents, and other animals, containers must be tightly sealed.
  • To prevent injuries, ensure filled trash containers, plastic bags and other disposable containers do not exceed 50 pounds.
  • Curbside collection prohibits the placement of hazardous waste, liquids and garbage that emits foul odors.
The website states handicapped or disabled customers can receive backdoor collection service for a monthly fee of $25.21. Residents can contact 817-795-9300 for more information.
