The Fort Worth Police Department held the grand opening celebration of its new vehicle storage facility at the Bob Bolen Complex, located at 505 W. Felix St.

According to a city news release, the facility is a $1.9 million project funded by the police department’s Crime Control and Prevention District. It serves as a dedicated space to house specialized police vehicles, enhancing the department’s capacity for equipment storage and maintenance.

The new facility was designed by Elements of Architecture Inc. and constructed by West Fork Construction, the news release stated.

The details


The 5,576-square-foot facility had a budget of $1.9 million and can accommodate a variety of specialized vehicles, including:
  • One Rook armored critical incident vehicle
  • Three Bearcat SWAT vehicles
  • Two rapid deployment vehicles
  • One equipment truck
  • One trailer
According to the news release, work on the facility began in January and was completed in August.
