Northwest ISD officials announced May 13 that Stacy Miles will be the new principal of V.R. Eaton High School in Haslet.

Miles has been at the school since it first opened in 2015 and has served in multiple capacities, including assistant principal and associate principal. Miles first joined the district in 2007. She previously taught at Steele Accelerated High School and Medlin Middle School.

“It has been an honor to serve the students, families and staff of Eaton High School as an assistant principal and associate principal,” Miles said in a district news release. “I am excited to now lead the school as principal."

According to the release, Miles has been involved in a number of professional development initiatives for NISD, has served on educational committees and is a leader of professional development. Miles also previously taught for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD and Chino Unified School District in California.

“She has been an instrumental leader in all of her school districts serving in various roles, such as department chair, team leader, mentor coordinator, summer school principal and much more,” the release said.
