A local Italian restaurant is opening a new concept in Keller next year.

What they offer

Guests at Acquario Pizza, Pasta & Bar will be able to watch wood-fired pizza cooked in the exposed oven and see handmade pasta crafted daily at an exposed pasta-making machine, according to a city of Keller social media post.

The new location will have the ambiance of a traditional Italian trattoria, or a small Italian restaurant.

The backstory

The new restaurant is a sister concept to a different Keller business, Acquario Italian Restaurant. Executive chef and co-owner Ferdinand Plaku was born in Venice and trained in Sicily, according to the website.

The pizza, pasta and bar location will be in the same space as the former Maple Street Biscuit Company Keller location, which closed in September.
