Horizon 76 American Grill House merged with Outpost 36, a local barbecue restaurant, in October.

Outpost 36 and Horizon 76 owner Chris Polk said the two businesses merged to bring together the best of each menu.

“The foods were kind of similar and so we took the top sellers off of each and we’re trying to deliver a higher quality, multi-faceted menu,” he said.

Polk said the merged businesses will keep the Outpost 36 name, and he is considering adding something like “barbeques and more” to the name. Outpost 36 offers a variety of barbecue meats and sandwiches on its menu. The new 76 Steakroom offers a reservation-only fine dining experience with premium Wagyu and grass-fed steaks.
