Enea’s Pizzeria will serve New York-style pizza in Roanoke next month, owner Edmond Gjekaj said.

The details

The pizza is made using fresh ingredients, hand-tossed dough and sauce made from scratch, Gjekaj said. The pizzeria will serve big slices that are meant to be eaten on-the-go or folded in half like in Manhattan, he said.

In addition to pizza, the restaurant will serve garlic knots, calzones, chicken rolls, submarine sandwiches and cannoli, according to its website.

“Enea’s Pizzeria is more than just a place to grab a slice, it’s the product of over 40 years of family tradition,” Gjekaj said. “Our story begins in New York, where the Enea family first fell in love with the art of pizza-making. Generations of recipes, techniques and late nights in neighborhood kitchens built the foundation for what we serve today.”
