The details
In presenting the results of the survey to the city council April 1, Rachel Reynolds, the city's communication and public engagement manager, said the survey was open from Jan. 3 through Feb. 28 and just under 960 responses were completed. According to the survey, 93% of respondents were Keller residents while 7% lived outside the city.
Among the questions, the survey asked respondents to rank the type of developments most needed in Keller. Reynolds said restaurants remained the top priority, the same position they held in the 2020 survey.
The survey results also categorized the types of restaurants most frequented by Keller residents as follows:
- 44% - fast food
- 70% - fast casual
- 89% - casual dining
- 32% - fine dining
- Food quality
- Price
- Customer service
- Location
- Ambiance
New restaurants respondents would most like to see come to the city include:
- Cava
- Olive Garden
- Chicken Salad Chick
- Texas Roadhouse
- Outback
- In-N-Out Burger
Reynolds said economic development staff will use these results to evaluate which businesses could be a good fit for the city. Once that evaluation is complete, then staff will actively recruit these businesses into the community.
