Plano-based SLX Capital purchased Roanoke Village, a shopping center on US 377 in Roanoke.

The real estate firm focuses on multifamily, retail, office and hotel development, according to partner Ahsan Daredia, but this marks the first investment acquisition. The sale was finalized on June 21, he said.

The shopping center is 12,769 square feet and currently features Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Mirra Periodontist and a UPS Store.

“We see the growth and traffic in Roanoke and look forward to adding this asset to our portfolio,” said Daredia, whose other partners are Karim Khoja and Pete Stickney.

The retail shopping center was completed in August 2022, according to Daredia. He said three spaces are currently open for lease and the goal is to fill them in the next three to four months. Daredia added there has been contact made with various tenants interested in the location, which is next to a Baylor-Scott & White family medicine facility that is under construction.
