While this is a new career track for Dykstra, it is similar to her background with 35 years in the optical and optometry industry.

She said massage has been a big part of her life and being a patient herself, has made her big difference in her wellness journey.

“I have been very much into holistic health and wellness,” she said. “Anything that I can do to stay young and healthy and avoid medicine; massage has been a huge part of that. So it's more of a kind of personal passion, but where it ties in professionally is that I have many, many years of multi-unit management experience.”

As a regional manager for Mesquite-based US Vision, she oversaw 120 optical locations in 12 states, she said. Dykstra was an optician, then moved to store manager, before moving to the executive level.

The Keller resident said that she loves the visibility of the location along Keller Parkway, moving into a spot that was once the Row House Keller fitness studio.

“One of my big roles with growing the optical company is helping to be that second set of eyes on real estate,” she said. “When I saw that one there on Keller Parkway, I said, ‘this is the spot.’”
