Hutchins BBQ will be opening a new restaurant in Trophy Club at 3000 Hwy. 114 in late May, according to filing documents to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Before opening its doors, the existing two-story, 10,800 square-foot restaurant space will be renovated with new mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment, according to a documents. The location formerly was Bread Winner Cafe and Bakery.

Hutchins BBQ has two locations in North Texas, one in McKinney and the other in Frisco. The menu features a bevy of smoked meats including prime brisket, smoked sausage, pork ribs and pulled pork.

Specialties include beef ribs, only available on Saturdays and Sundays; fried catfish sold by the pound; burnt ends when available; and Texas Twinkies, which are large jalapenos stuffed with brisket and cream cheese and then wrapped in premium thick-cut bacon.

Sides include jalapeno pinto beans, potato casserole and broccoli salad and can also be ordered by the pint, quart, half-gallon or gallon. Dine-in customers looking to satisfy their sweet cravings get a complimentary serving of peach cobbler or banana pudding.


Catering and delivery are available with certain restrictions. Hutchins BBQ also offers digital gift cards and has an online store that features sauce, seasoning, T-shirts and hats.
