Project: Work includes elevating Bedford Road out of the Little Bear Creek floodplain between Somerset Boulevard and Saddlebrook Drive in Colleyville.
Update: Colleyville City Council approved a preliminary design contract with Halff Associates at the Feb. 3 council meeting.
2. East Wall Street drainage improvements
Project
: East Wall Street, west of Dooley Street to Austin Street, will have storm drainage installed to eliminate a ditch in Grapevine. Once the drainage improvements are complete, a 31-foot-wide curb and gutter street with sidewalks from Dooley Street to Austin Street.Update: Wright Construction Co. started on the project Feb. 2, closing portions of the road, according to a city official.
Project: The project includes drainage improvements along Palmetto Court, Paint Rock Court and Forest Hill Drive in Trophy Club.
Update: Recent work included installing a new storm drain lateral and pouring concrete collars around new pipe connections to support long-term durability.
Project
: Superior Pipeline Services, on behalf of Atmos Energy, closed the southbound lane of Nolen Drive at East Southlake Boulevard for three weeks for gas line repairs in Southlake. Detours from Southlake Boulevard to Commerce Street, then Exchange Boulevard, before returning to Nolen Drive, according to the city’s Facebook page.Update: The eastbound lane of East Southlake Boulevard is closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m during the project, but business access will remain open.
Project: The work will focus on the Lake Wood Drive and SH 114 intersections, including hardscape improvements and traffic signal upgrades. Drivers can expect daytime lane closures from 9 a.m.-3 p.m Monday through Friday along North Carroll Avenue between Lake Wood Drive and SH 114.
Update: The work resumed Jan. 5. According to a social media update, the media extension near Lake Wood Drive is complete and the widening of the entrance to the Carroll Pointe shopping center off North Carroll Avenue will start in late February, which will close the driveway and sidewalk near Chuy’s. A left-turn lane at northbound N. Carroll Avenue and EB SH 114 frontage road is open.
6. William D. Tate Avenue median work
Project
: The city approved a contract with Clean Scapes Enterprises for median work between the 1000 block and the 1400 block of William D. Tate Avenue Irrigation systems, electrical access, and stamped concrete end caps were added.Update: Work completed in early January.
