Voters have elected Republican incumbent Benjamin Bumgarner to a second term on the District 63 seat for the Texas House of Representatives, according to unofficial election results.
Bumgarner received 46,570 votes which represents 55.71% of the total vote, according to results from Denton County. Democratic challenger Michelle Beckley has received 37,023 votes which represents 44.29% of the total vote. All 44 precincts are reporting in the race for District 63, according to Denton County election results.

In a statement published to Bumgarner's Facebook page, he states he is "deeply honored" by the trust voters have placed in him again.
"I promise to continue working hard for every one of you, regardless of how you voted, and to make decisions that will move our district forward and delivering real results for Texans," Bumgarner states. "From lowering property taxes, securing the border, to strengthening education, our work is just beginning."

So far, Bumgarner has received 43,636 votes, about 56.15% of the total vote. Democratic challenger Michelle Beckley has received 34,073 votes which represents 43.85% of the total vote. According to Denton County's election results, 20 of 44 precincts are reporting in the race for District 63.

So far, Bumgarner has received 42,485 votes, about 56.10% of the total vote. Democratic challenger Michelle Beckley has received 33,240 votes which represents 43.90% of the total vote. According to Denton County's election results, 13 of 44 precincts are reporting in the race for District 63.

Early voting results from Denton County show an early lead for incumbent Benjamin Bumgarner in the race for District 63 in the Texas House of Representatives.

So far, Bumgarner has received 40,271 votes, about 56% of the vote, while Democratic challenger Michelle Beckley has received 31,641 votes, about 44% of the vote, according to early voting results. District 63 represents portions of Flower Mound, Lewisville, Carrollton, Trophy Club and Roanoke.

About the candidates
Bumgarner is running for his second term after he was elected in 2022. He previously served on Flower Mound Town Council for three years. During his first term in the house, Bumgarner served on the Defense and Veterans’ Affairs Committee and International Relations and Economic Development Committee.
In a candidate Q&A submitted to Community Impact, Bumgarner states he is running for office to help bring property tax relief to the state, fight the border crisis and expand on legislation to fight human trafficking.
Beckley is a former state representative who served on the District 65 seat between 2019-23. During her two terms, she served on multiple committees, including the Business and Industry Committee and the Elections Committee. She won the democratic primary for District 63 in March.
