The school term will begin Aug. 15 and conclude May 25,with graduation commencement taking place May 26, according to the calendar.
In total, students will have 29 days off for school holidays with two additional days dedicated to making up school days canceled for bad weather.
Students will have Sept. 5 off for Labor Day and a long weekend Oct. 7-11, which includes Columbus or Indigenous Peoples Day on Oct. 10.
Thanksgiving break will span from Nov. 21-25, according to the calendar. Students will then begin the winter holiday break Dec. 19 and return to school Jan. 4.
School will be closed Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A staff development day will take place Feb. 20, which will be another student holiday off of school.
Spring break will take place from March 13-17, followed by another staff development day April 10.
Bad-weather makeup days will take place Feb 17 and April 7, according to the calendar.
There are also a number of school days set for students to be released early. Pre-K through fourth-grade students will be released early on the first week of school, Aug. 15-19. Fifth- through twelfth-graders will be released early Dec. 15-16, right before winter break, and May 24-25, the last two days of school. It is unclear how early in the school day students will be released.
There are several days designated for State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness. Dec. 6-7, April 4-6, May 2-19 and June 20-22 are all designated STAAR windows.
